LG Rumor Review

I am not very tech savy so expect this review to have words like 'thingamajig' or 'doohickey'. I'm also not going to go into great detail but just talk quick generics and things I've learned or noticed about the phone.

The large screen size is nice but admittedly I don't take great care of my phone. It's constantly getting dropped or shoved in my purse. The screen already has some scratches and fingerprints all over it. I'm trying to find the film that goes over it to protect but so far none of the Sprint stores carry any accessories for this. WTF not? It's a brand new phone for them and they're selling very well. You think they would want to make some extra money and keep their customers happy. Geesh.

The sound quality is not the best which sucks as I use this mostly for voice and then text. To me, the quality seems a bit static-ey and echo-ey. Plus, in my opinion I don't think the volume is loud enough. Perhaps I'm just hard of hearing. My last phone though when you had it all the way up was loud and clear discontinued sprint Sanyo). Sometimes too loud but at least I had the option of that. This phone seems like I have to cover my other ear to hear people sometimes. Which, you know, isn't the best option when driving, which, of course, is the hardest to hear at times. Yes I drive while talking on my phone. Suck it all you 'hang up and drive' nazis.

Same goes for the ringer volume - too low even at the highest setting.

I can hear fine when the speaker is on but haven't tried to use it for talking to people. I've only used it for voicemail checking and such.

My old phone was a flip phone, which I like. Since this carries the number pad on the outside it automatically locks the keys. You have to hit the Back button for a few seconds to unlock it. Eh, it seems like I hit the End key instead or in conjunction with the Back key and this doesn't work to unlock it. So you have to be a little more careful and take notice of what you're hitting. You can also hit any button on the phone, without unlocking it, and the screen will appear telling you if you have any alerts like missed calls or texts. It's a nice easy way to check.

The Menu button is too small. I'm a small girl people. I have bitch hands. I have no problem dialing rotary phones. I have nails with can be more precise that the pad of my fingers. If I'm having problems with the Menu button I can only imagine how much trouble other people may have. It took some getting used to. Every time I hit that damn small round button I would inevitably hit one of the arrow keys next to it instead giving me a different function than intended. Really, that button is smaller than my clit. And to think, if guys have problems finding that they're really going to have problems with this phone.

Underneath the phone is the qwerty keyboard. Okay, if you're like me and wonder why they call it qwerty it's because it's the first 6 letters on the top row of the keyboard. Duh! I had to ask someone. You just slide the top part over and voila! The slide mechanism is nice and so far no issues really. You can also unlock the phone but opening it this way instead of the Back button. The screen automatically flips to horizontal and goes straight to a messaging screen: voicemail, send message, text messaging, email, and so forth. You can either pick the corresponding number or use the arrow keys to navigate to the correct option.

I only use mine for text so I'll talk a bit about that. My old phone did not contain qwerty and it's a hell of a lot easier and quicker to type. You can't tell from the pictures but when the keys are lit the symbol/number in the upper right hand corner of each key is orange. Because I'm slow it took me a bit to figure out how to select those. It happens to be the only fully orange button. Christ I'm stupid. After messing around with it a bit I noticed all you have to do is press that button once and then proceed to the next key and it automatically types in the symbol. Meaning, you don't need to hold it down while pressing the intended key like you would with the shift key on a keyboard. Press it twice and it locks down that function key so that you can proceed to type numbers or whatever. Press it one more time and it disables it altogether. The same process works for the Shift key when you want capital letters.

When you the Reply button it gives the option of replying by Text Message or Other Options, which from there you now select VoiceSMS, Email, or Picture Mail. This bugs me. I only reply with text and it's another step I have to take to get to the right screen. It's nice that they give you options but if you constantly text I'm tired of always having to select it and slowing me down.

For incoming calls I often use the Ignore function as I either don't want to or can't take the call. This stops my phone from ringing out loud and sends them to voicemail. What sucks about this phone is that when you hit ignore it does not save the info for that call anywhere. I hate this and it's most inconvenient. Why they would program it this way I do not know. It's such a simple, yet huge, oversight. It's much needed for those that call me at work just to talk (you know who you are) or for those 3 am drunk dial calls I receive (you still know who you are.)

All in all I'm happy enough with the phone though.

Oh yeah. I forget to mention thingamajib and doohickey. Now I'm done.

Can I see a picture to determine if your clit is smaller than the menu/ok button?

Sorry for the late response. I tried to hold my phone up next to my clit for comparison but that was rather difficult holding the phone, my vagina, and taking a picture with the camera all at the same time. I ended up with blurry pictures and a phone that is now smelly and sticky. You'll just have to take my word for it.
